AU STUDYPEDIA - SUPPORTING YOUR STUDENT LIFE

AU Studypedia is your reference for many aspects of student life and it is with you every step of the way, from the start of your first semester until you graduate. You’re bound to face challenges along the way, but Studypedia has advice, guidance and specific techniques to manage your academic, personal and social student life through the themes below:

NEW SEMESTER - NEW STUDY HABITS

Is 2025 the year when you want more structure in your daily life, hand in fewer assignments at the last minute, and prepare well in advance for classes? Here are a few good tips:

1. SET REALISTIC GOALS

Start by getting an overview of the semester and the expectations for you. Set goals based on what your daily life looks like to help maintain your study motivation.

2. ESTABLISH NEW HABITS

Plan your study routine by creating a set schedule, and try, for example, the Pomodoro method to structure your daily study work..

3. BALANCE YOUR STUDENT LIFE

What brings you particular joy in your daily life? A healthy balance between studies and leisure gives you the energy to sustain the whole semester.

4. LET GO OF PERFECTIONISM

It’s not about mastering everything from day one. Put perfectionism aside and give yourself room to learn and grow along the way.

ARE YOU A NEW STUDENT?

As a new student at Aarhus University, you will encounter new ways of doing things. At the same time, the kind of help students need—and when they need it—can vary greatly. On this page, we have gathered a range of tips and topics to help you get off to a good start:

HOW TO USE AU STUDYPEDIA?

Aarhus University has approximately 40,000 students - and just as many different types of students. AU Studypedia has no mission to tell you how to study and it offers no miracle cures. Instead, there are examples of some of the many different ways you can approach student life, and ideas about how you can find out what works well for you.

THE GOOD COMMUNITY

At Aarhus University, you can become part of many different communities, depending on what you’re looking for. For example, you could join a small study group, get involved in student organisations, or share your student life with the rest of Aarhus University using #yourniversity.

Missing a sense of community?

Maybe you enjoy your own company, or maybe you often feel alone.
If you’ve experienced loneliness, you’re not the only one.
In fact, 45% of AU students have felt lonely at some point during their studies, according to the 2021 student environmental survey.
